4 tips for dry skin

2. Vaseline

Vaseline, also known as mineral oil, covers the skin in a protective layer. It absorbs the moisture underneath, thereby helping to heal dry and irritated skin.

3. Oatmeal mask

Oatmeal is a common solution for irritated skin. It has anti-irritating antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It is especially effective if you want to relieve itching on your skin. After making an oatmeal mask, use moisturizing cream so your skin can retain moisture better.

You can make an oatmeal mask at home. Use a food processor to make the oatmeal into a fine powder, then mix it in warm water.

4. Foods that are rich in antioxidants and omega-3

Food that has  antioxidants can minimize damage from toxins and help your body produce healthy cells. Some of the foods that contribute to skin health include

  • Lentil
  • Salmon

It is important to maintain healthy skin. Your skin is your first line of defense against bacteria and viruses. When your skin is irritated by itching, an infection may occur. Even if your skin does not bother you, you should include a good moisturizer in your daily routine.

In fact, maintaining a healthy skin barrier daily is one of the best ways to prevent dry skin problems. Another important tip is to use a moisturizing sunscreen every day to prevent skin damage and dryness.
